As you may know, back in the late 80's, a strange mutation seemed to surface amongst human populations. Deformities, the authorities called it, and called for a cull on all 'mutated beings'. In fact, such beings have been in existance for many years. They are known as elementals. Little did the public know, or the authorities for that matter, that a secret school was set up for Elementals to learn how to harness their powers, and it has remained hidden ever since.
We have recieved information to suggest that you have certain abilities that we are interested in and we would like to offer you a place at Shahin Heights, a secret, elemental academy. Here, you can learn how to control many great powers and learn many important skills. If you wish, you may simply shred this letter and throw it away. However, if you wish to visit the academy and find out more, simply burn this litter as a signal. You will be collected from your home at midnight tomorrow - remember, you may have contact with your family but no-one else must be informed of this. And most improtantly, be prepared.

Last week, Mr. Knightsbridge had visited each classroom corridor, and hammered up the 'Spectre Lessons' notice on each of the four noticeboards, for all students to see. Every year many students always wished to learn how to cast their spectres, so even though this lesson was optional, it was usually frequented by a fair few students.
As he sat at his large oak teacher's desk in Room Three, waiting for pupils to arrive for their Spectre lesson, he surveyed the room patiently. While the front half of the spacious room was filled with desks and chairs, for this was usually a theory room rather than one of the more 'hands on- clasrooms, the back half of the room had been cleared. There were mirrors on the back wall so pupils could see themselves while casting their spectres, and there were also four large clay pots that stood at the back.
One pot was filled to the brim with crystal clear water, one filled with dirt and leaves, another filled with simply air, and the fourth one held a burning brazier. Mr Knightsbridge always found that if the students had their elements present, it helped them to draw out their spectres. Suddenly, the school bell rung, and Mr. Knightsbridge was snapped away from his thoughts. The pupils should be arriving any second now.

Okay, so admittedly for the past 2 years Azzurra had always found something better to do than learn to summon her spectre. But this year, nothing much seemed to be happening, and she was actually very interested in- perhaps a little tentative about- her spectre.
She was glad the class was held in the Earth corridor classrooms, it made her feel at home to be returning her. She pushed her way carefully into the room, conscious of the fact she was here first. She smiled pleasantly. "Hello Mr Knightsbridge," she greeted him, wondering whether to sit or stand as she dithered in the doorway.

Layered brown hair bounced on her back, as she hurried towards the earth corridor. She was five minutes late, not a good start when you have a spectre meeting with your headmaster. 'Damn it!' she growled, taking a left into the earth corridor. She shuddered, as much as she likes to mess about outside, it felt strange not being in her element, like a fish who could breathout of water, still shouldn't live out of water. It didn't fit in, it didn't understand the ways of the ground-walkers, it wasn't adpated to live out of it's enviorment. Just as a bird shouldn't be cursed to walk the earth, unable to fly. It was unnatural.
Olivia checked her appearance in the windows ot the classroom's, making sure that she looked as beautiful as ever. She sighed, halting outside the right door and peering in, hesitantly placing a hand on the door handle and twisting it, barely using any force to swing it open. To her surpise, she was one of the first to arrive. She smiled happily at the headmaster, reliaved she wasn't the last one here. 'Morning, sir,' she said, letting out a long sigh, trying to get her breath back. She glanced at the girl who hadn;t sat down, wondering whether it was out of courtesy. Pfft, courtesy... se thought, pulling up a chair near the back. Chairs were made for sitting, not for looking at. A small frown furrowed onto her brow, she sensed air. Well,. ofcourse, she sense air, air was all around her, that was what she loved about it, but there was air in here...That was here just for her... She turned and spotted the air pot, and the frown dissapeared. She didn't feel as uneasy now, but she wasn't fully sure why. Looking at the earth girl again she gave her a wide grin. Olivia had no problem being a leader, and not a follower.

Although new to the school, Anna-Rose was eager to find out about these 'spectres'. She was hesitant in going into the corridor, wondering if it was a bad joke some older students were playing on gullible first years. Anna-Rose finally decided that she would go, and was now making her way down the corridor towards Room three. She just hoped it was room three. Stopping a few feet away, she looked at the girl standing at the door and was slightly confused.
Walking to the door, she peeked past Azzurra to see an old man, which she guessed must be one of the teachers. Or maybe it was the headmaster. Trying to remember what the notice that she found on the classroom corridor, but she didn't remember it saying specifically if Mr. Knightsbridge was head or not. She cleared her throat slightly, then her cheeks went a bit red. She didn't want to sound rude, and she looked up at Azzurra.
Sometimes she disliked being small. She looked at the girl that just walked past them, and she hesitated... She didn't like the look of her for some reason. Anna-Rose blinked and looked at the back of the room, hearing the crackling of fire and was curious, but would run over to see what it was.
Instead, she stepped past Azzurra slowly, smiled nervously at Mr. Knightsbridge and sat on a seat to the right, so she could hear him speak more.

Tagg had already been in the class room when the late comers entered the room. He was close to the front so he could pay extra close attention. Hopefully summoning a specter would be easier than controlling his abilities.
As he sat and waited for the teacher to begin the lesson he swung his feet along the ground, they were barely touching. More people enetered, causing Tagg to turn his head. Entering past the girl in the door was Anna-Rose. She sat down and Tagg quickly waved her over beside him. He smiled slightly to her before looking back towards the teacher/

Mr Knightsbridge smiled slightly as he saw Azzurra, the first student other than Tagg, arrive. He'd always wondered why she'd never come to Spectre lessons before, as she was a very capable student - one of the better behaved ones too. As more students started to arrive, the headmaster beamed. It was always encouraging to see students who were keen to learn.
"Sit down, sit down!" He huffed, glancing from Tagg (who he noticed was the only student who seemed brave enough to already sit down) "Don't just stand there like simpletons...." He faded away ass it appearred most of the students needed no encouraging.
"Right, this first lesson will mainly consist of the all-important theory about spectres, and if you work hard, we may6 even begin conjuring this lesson. Any questions before we begin?" He said, glancing questioningly from student to student before turning to the board and picking up a marker pen. Not patient enough to wait for any latecomers to arrive, he starter to make notes on the board in spidery handwriting.
